Be careful, tugu is on the middle of intersection and the traffic usually very crowded. A lot of tourist did not aware about their safety and just walking by. We walked to this monument from Jln Malioboro, then Jln Manjo Utama and saw this monument in the center of a busy roundabout. It is quite small and white in colour. Locals call it Tugu Pal Putih or the white monument. It has some historical significance but we didn't particularly find this monument impressive. But this is a 5 minute stop if you are walking past, not an attraction. But surround Tugu, you can easily find restaurants, hotels, angkringan, coffee shops etc. |
