I visited Pura Mangkunegaran in Solo and honestly, it was a pretty cool experience. The palace area isn’t too big, but it’s really beautiful and full of traditional Javanese architecture. The carvings and decorations were super detailed, and the guide mbak oriza ( if I’m not mistaken) she’s on PKL explained a lot about the history, which made it more interesting.<br><br>Walking around the open halls felt peaceful, and the vibe was very calm and authentic.<br><br>If you like history or just want to see something different, I’d say this place is worth visiting. Not too crowded and the ticket price is cheap too. Just remember to dress politely when you go. Definitely a nice spot to chill and learn something new! |

I came here for dinner, and because it was at night, so i couldn't see it clear enough. It was raining too, so i couldn't go around. But if talking about the restaurant inside of it, the restaurant looks fancy and beautiful. The people there are very friendly and full of smile😊 |

We were guided by knowledgeable official staff who took us through different sections of the palace, sharing fascinating stories, historical context, and cultural meanings behind the architecture and royal traditions. Their insights really helped us appreciate how the Mangkunegaran lineage and its role have evolved over time.<br><br>All in all, it was a meaningful and fun visit—deep in history, full of charm, and sprinkled with a touch of modern-day royal intrigue. Definitely worth adding to your Solo itinerary!<br><br>**Fun fact: the current Adipati (or the prince) is relatively young—and according to some locals and online chatter, quite good-looking too. So if you’re single woman, who knows? You might just be in the right place at the right time 😄 haha |

I went to Pracima Tuin restaurant at Pura Mangkunegaran. I did really enjoy the culinary experiences here, a great taste and attractive dishes appearance. I suggested that you do reservation beforehand. There are several option of reservation time, I chose to come during lunch time at 12pm. You can also choose the menu option, I chose to have a la carte menu which allow me to order varies of menu. |

Not only the place is well maintained, but it also has good tour management. Moreover, we got the best tour guide! He casually and excitedly explained the history of the rooms, cultures, etc., And he was responsively answering all questions, very well-informed!<br><br>And we were lucky to catch a traditional performance, they said it is only available on particular days, one of them including Wednesday. Go there before 12 pm to catch the performance. |
