251 Selamet Karyadi 2 Menuju candi borobudur dari parkiran butuh perjuangan, mobil shuttlenya minim banget, nunggu sampe 1 jam, kawasan candi memang ramah lingkungan tapi gak ramah wisatawan, apalagi kalo tiba2 turun hujan.
252 zoriton muchsin 2 Candinya sih oke. Tp saat mau keluar seperti dipermainkan agar melewati para pedagang. Rasanya seperti masuk dalam labirin. Mana udah capek.panas. Dimainin lg 1480734319737
253 Nadya Safira 2 We ready and don't Judge !

5. Saat sampai dipintu masuk naik glf car/shuttle bus/ andong berbayar 20 RB /orang . 2 tahun lalu saya berbayar tetapi hanya sekali saat berangkat sampai depan candi, tapi sekarang bahkan pulang pun masih ditawari dan berbayar 20 RB lagi. Kenapa manajemen nya tidak sekalian saja pulang pergi 20 RB??
Dulu pintu keluarnya sangat dekat JD ga perlu naik shuttle bis lagi . Dan langsung masuk pasar oleh-oleh.

dann, mereka berkata harga tiket terlalu mahal radie, mengapa radie?

1699980086318 id
257 Evan Ferdinand 2 Panas kalau siang ke sinu tidak recommend banget sumpah panas banget banget banget banget 1774496317579 id
258 Time Traveler 2 Manajemen pengelolaan nya sangat buruk. Akses keluar yg buruk, mengharuskan kita mengitari warung2 tenda yg menjual pernak pernik cindera mata, sehingga kita harus berhimpit2an dengan banyak orang. 1546614128192
259 Ginting hendra 2 Aku tiba sore sekitar jam 5 lebih . Aku hanya mau foto sebentar saja. Foto cuma 3 biji di kuat. Tapi petugas ngomong *dibantu*

Eh minta 100K
Wkwkwkwkw 1737202740022 id
1530655917778
261 Melanie Melaaa 2 Untuk harga tiket masuk 50rb mahal sekali ya.

Tolong diperbaiki pelayanannya, jangan ambil uangnya saja tp pelayanan tdk memuaskan 1766640358989 id
Petugas kurang pengamanan nya. 1558699796515
264 Junaedi Edi 2 Candi Borobudur begitu menakjubkan...semoga Allah masih memberi kesempatan lagi..Aamin. 1755179019979 id

Fasilitas ramah disabilitas & anak2 kurang 1713107276479 id

267 P0tat0Head 2 This was my second visit to Borobudur, and the temple itself remains an extraordinary and beautiful place.

Unfortunately, the guided tour was very disappointing. The guide spent more time talking about personal matters than explaining the temple's history, symbolism, or the stories depicted on the wall reliefs. Our group went almost straight to Arupadhatu, where we had only about 20 minutes before being told to leave.

There was almost no time to properly explore Rupadhatu or Kamadhatu, which are important parts of the Borobudur experience. The entire visit felt rushed and superficial.

During my first visit, I had enough time to appreciate the temple's architecture and spiritual meaning, and I left feeling inspired. This time, I left feeling frustrated and disappointed.

Borobudur is a world-class monument that deserves a much better guided experience. 1780463643793 en
1775107832818 ru
269 Joneaj Luke 2 I visited Borobudur last July, and honestly, the experience was quite a hassle. We went there by motorcycle from Bukit Rhema, without any reservation or pre-booked tickets. We just walked in. This is actually very fortunate as it’s hard to get tickets here is what they said. The place is really huge, which was nice at first, but there was no proper assistance from the moment we arrived.

When we got off the cart, no one explained that you actually need to change into special slippers before going up the main temple. Apparently, visiting the top is done in batches, but we weren’t told that either. It was confusing, especially since there were many staff around who didn’t really help.

One thing I also noticed — they kept assuming I was Indonesian (since I’m Asian), so maybe they expected me to already know the procedures. But even if I were local, it could still be my first time visiting. The ticket price was also quite expensive compared to other tourist spots we’d been to, so it felt disappointing that the whole process wasn’t clearer or more organized.

We also later realized that there’s actually a museum before entering the main site, near the entrance. I think it’s better to visit the museum first so you can understand the history and feel more connected to the temple before heading to the main area. The museum itself was actually the part we enjoyed the most — more informative and peaceful compared to the temple experience.

Also, the cart that’s included with the ticket only takes you one way — going to the temple. You’ll have to walk back on your own, or pay again if you want another ride. That part wasn’t clearly explained to us. The area is huge, so it was tiring, especially after walking around under the heat.

When we went, there were also events happening, so the place felt very chaotic — from the organizers to the tour guides inside the temple area. It just wasn’t well managed.

Overall, it’s a beautiful and historical place, but the experience was messy and stressful. I don’t think I’d go back again. 1761785448733 en
270 Ula Hangiel 2 Borobudur Temple was on my bucket list.
And I made to visit it.
Some pros:
- absolutely amazing art and experience (of course not comparable to Angkor Wat- lets say nothing can beat AW)
- tickets for 15:30 actually are for sunset, and this is best time to enjoy the sun extracting colors from the temple.
- we bought tickets for Temple Structure, which allows to climb to the top, and include buggy ride. Are 40k IDR more expensive
- ticket includes shoes (kind of bamboo flip flops), and bottle of water

CONS:
- overpriced! 455k IDR (25$) because you’re foreigner (75k IDR for local)
- a lot of hustle and bustle around for taxi, souvenirs etc
- guide was enough
- EXIT is a NIGHTMARE, as you need to get thorough maze of really pushy sellers, which makes me panic to get out of there!
Outside- another group pushing for taxi, some souvenirs. Please respect our „NO thank you” boundaries, as we- foreigners- are respecting your prices, places and culture.
Whatever good impressions I had, they got lost with going through exit.

TIPS:
1. Only Structure Tickets, buy online in advance
2. Preferably entrance at 15:30
3. Take extra water with you
4. Keep calm and move on through maze of shops to get to the desired exit.

1756191859481

273 Aleksandra O 2 One of the most overrated places I’ve been in. With the horrendous ticket price… And it’s not the biggest Buddhists temple, that’s a lies. Angkor Wat is bigger and what’s more, much much more beautiful. You can go the the top only with the guide and on top you have around 10min free time for photos. Entry with guide is happening only between 8:00 and 13:00 everyday except Mondays. I would recommend to skip this temple and go only to Prambanan. It’s a complex of 4 temples and they are really nice for photos. The Borobudur parking doesn’t accept scooters. Even though the parking is huge and empty… you are forced to park outside of the temple complex in some private places for a minimum of 20k fee. To be honest, we just parked somewhere on the street next to some closed shop for free. 1681537421163
274 Khai 2 There's really not much to do here and there's alot of walking. If you're old and you can't walk or even climb the stairs much I'd skip this. It's beautiful to look at but there's really not much to it. Really crowded too and it can be really warm. 1731757338447
275 Nicolas Lucius 2 Arrived at the counter we’ve been told the bottom part is open only, which is fine since we can see everything from the bottom. We double check twice, “Can we see everything from the bottom?”. Yes. Twice. (Spoiler alert: you can’t see anything from the bottom, no Buddha, no view, no lotus flowers)
We were deceived when we get to the temple, walk around in 10 minutes and that’s it.

When we go back to the ticket counter, they tell us that Monday are cleaning days and that’s why the top part is closed. Understandable, but we still paid $50 to not see anything. This is not what we’ve been told when we bought the ticket.

They did not believe anything we told them. They said we stayed 2 hours in the temple, which we disagreed to and had to prove to them by the ticket the time that we got there.

Basically lied to us on the experience we would have and offered to go to the museum on the way back. Museum is closed as well.

Overall I wish things were clearer and we could have been helped by the staff for the price that we paid. Beautiful temple regardless, but from what you see in the pictures online, this is not what we received. 1731303783574 en

1691930327511
278 Dennis 2 Worst organized place in Indonesia

Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed by my visit today. I arrived quite early to avoid the large crowds of tourists. I bought my ticket at 7:00 a.m. so that I would also be allowed to climb the temple. I then went to the temple, only to be told that access is only possible from around 9:00 a.m. (for whatever reason), so I had to wait for about one and a half hours.

When it finally became possible, I was not allowed to go up because I wasn’t wearing slippers, which should have been provided to me at the entrance. The security staff said they would organize something for me, but even after 30 minutes nothing had been resolved. Ironically, he then asked to see my ticket for the third time.

In the heat, I eventually lost my patience and went back to the entrance. When I explained the situation, all I got was a simple “sorry.” The idea of even a small refund didn’t seem to occur to anyone at all. I’m usually very hard to upset, but this was extremely unsatisfactory.

It’s a real shame that I couldn’t enjoy this beautiful place in peace. 1765599515826 en
1675867979931
280 Ricky 2 The temple itself is a sight to see. Efforts to preserve it are well appreciated. But the fact that foreigners have to pay 3x more than locals is uncalled for. The disorganization when lining up for a guide is abysmal. You literally have to rush and jostle with other visitors when you hear English tours being announced. If you're lucky, then you'll join the group. If not, then you'll have to wait for the next opportunity. Then there is the exit. Good luck in finding your way out while going through the gamut of vendors. They literally made it into a maze and you have to go through them. This makes the Cozumel cruise gamut seem pleasant. Another thing they don't tell you is that the flipflops you have to wear for the temple come with the ticket and you don't have to wear them until you reach the temple entrance. It's such a shame that the process of getting in and getting out ruins the actual place itself as it is a beautiful temple. Let's hope the administration will fix this for the future of tourism in the Yogyakarta area. 1688863248796
282 Daryl Scales 2 A must visit if you happen to be in the area given its the largest Buddhist temple on earth HOWEVER the ticket prices were extortionate, locals pay 50,000 and tourists pay nearby 500,000.. this £25 Ticket per person gets you into the main complex which is stunning but its a guided tour that only lasts an hour and you are ushered out promtly.. whilst informative my partner and i both agreed that the guide wasnt really required and only taking us to photogenic spots for a quick snap. We have visited other temples similar in stature such as Shwedagon Pagoda (Myanmar) for a fraction of the cost. I understand and i am happy to pay a little tourist tax but it really wasnt much bang for your buck so to speak, on the grounds are elephants that we quickly noticed are chained up which is disheartening upon exiting we were met with a labyrinth of stalls (with no quick exits) all bellowing at us to make purchases, this really was the final nail for us and honestly ruined our overall experience.

A reminder that not all that travel are caked in cash and this can be off-putting to a substantial number of people. 1684829766728 en
283 Cameron Birch 2 I have pros and cons. The pros are the grounds are big for walking around,

Use your imagination. There are layers below the temple that remain underground. This is an amazing buddhist temple from more than 1000 years ago it would have been surrounded by a village. Another pro is they have banned tourists climbing the temple for preservation reasons, no doubt
The cons are as a foreigner your paying premium rates to enter, which can be a pro if the funding goes to restoration

Please be aware you won't see the famous borobudur bell shapes or the large buddha you see in photos all of those items are on top of the temple, Also be aware many of the smaller Buddha's have had their heads smashed off at some stage in history, not being able to see the famous bell shapes was very disappointing so I'm just saying if you go their be aware of this fact 1718617998538 en
284 Timothé Paris 2 Nice temple but expensive entrance.
Contrary to popular beliefs, it's not one of the seven wonders of the world.

Nonetheless it's still an impressive building and one of the most recognisable in Indonesia, the details are truly impressive and the whole place seems magical.

The two museums nearby are small and lame. 1583762828933
285 Martin Němeček 2 Okey defiently one of the most overrated places, especially for the price? Really? 455k for the entrance while locals pay 50/120k? I guess religion and greed really go well together.
I would understand having to pay double or maybe triple but 5-8x local price is nuts. Save yourself the money and rather go to Gereja Ayam, which is so much more hospitable and actually has better views. 1715163452687
1691459363045 de
288 Dong Kuk Ryu 2 Historical place but for the foreign tourists, the tickets are RIDICULOUSLY expensive. Angkor Watt costs about $37 for whole day and much more to see. Here costs about $25 but cannot even walk up to the top. THE PATH TO THE TOP OF THE TEMPLE IS BLOCKED. If you’re a traveler with low budget, do not bother to come. But people are so nice. 1672464075437
1691670562887 de
290 jaydeep aich 2 its good.... but not worth spending on entry ticket.. the tickets were very expensive.... n you will just find the buddha statues inside it..... i didn’t find that much attractive. yeah one thing you will find a lot of stuff in the local market. n you can bargain a lot. so be careful n the amount those sellers quote you.....just pay 10% of that amount... n as you go out in the open market. you will find a lot of awesome artefacts with very low price..... 1573040160752
291 Min Khant Zaw 2 Woke up at 3am and expecting an extraordinary sunrise but left disappointed as there was very little sun that day. Also, this is a stand alone temple and Buddha heads are missing at most of the statues 🤔.. The most unreasonable thing was the entry ticket price. It is around 450,000Rp which is on a pricier side just for a sunrise. The mysterious aura around the temple is very interesting nonetheless. Overall, I might just be unlucky for the gloomy weather and my high expectations for this temple left me rather discontented. 1552736831631
1750580577300 ja
293 Ryan H 2 I was so close to finally resisting seeing another disappointing temple, but eventually caved to the extortionate price. After paying such a large amount I'd at least hope the guide would have some enthusiasm and be possible to understand. Don't bother 1712482324915 en
294 Vincenzo Sclafani 2 UNESCO site uh? Before arriving at site a guy told me "no motorbike after this point" so I had to pay for his park and 3 seconds later I saw a bunch of bikes and cars going that way. UNESCO site uh? The way out is a labyrinth with shops and people trying to sell you anything. Good 10 mins to go out. UNESCO site uh? 327.500 IDR is the ticket.. way too expensive if you consider the quality of life, and prices, here and a bottle of water worth 3 sips is included. bargain. I'm afraid that the whole Square park wasn't fully opened when I visited, disappointed. The museum is nice but left apart.. nobody has been taking care of it for ages. UNESCO site uh? The temple is very nice but not as beautiful as others I've visited, especially for the price, and there are not many signs in English. UNESCO site uh? 2 old mans were inside the temple collecting plastic bottles so they can sell them and raise money for their life. Really? Is it the best the UNESCO can do? A bunch of disappointments, not consistent at all. Ethics worth nothing. 1507954643678
1566103350123
296 Marcel B. 2 The temple is definitely beautiful, but the ticket prices are far too high and you definitely have to book weeks in advance otherwise you can only see the temple from below. The exit took probably 10 minutes and everything was full of stalls trying to sell you something that wasn't nice. In addition, it is not possible to park normally and you are forced to park at a parking point for money. It all feels a bit rip-off 1724115376994 en
297 Sunny Side up 2 Nice, impressive temple complex and well maintained but the guides should be more educated about the historical facts and the walk towards the exit is a real tourist scam (1,5km long through souvenir shops..)
Also it would be nice to be able to stay longer on the monument and be able to explore by yourself than with a group and guide. 1717338100954 en
298 Benji Koshy 2 Great place to visit, however the experience is ruined by a few things. First the pluses, this is an ancient temple carved out of rock for the most part. Some of it seems to have been reconstructed. So if like me you admire good construction by hard work and hands, then it is a great place to visit.

Negatives:
Hot - the temple itself seems to be a heat/UV magnet and the heat will burn your skin. I have plenty of melanin 😉 and the heat was still hard to take. And we went in December with clouds overhead.
Tickets - foreigners get charged around 10 times more, and personally I hate that. A foreigner ticket is $20. For a family of 4, that's $80. And that's for just Borobudur. That's more than I've paid for most attractions even in the US. There's a combo ticket I believe for Prambanan as well, but I was put off by the charge that i didn't want to visit Prambanan.
Markets - on the way in, you're greeted by street hawkers selling selfie sticks and more. If you linger, they will crowd around you, and annoyingly so. On the way out, you are forced to walk through a market maze, which makes the exit tiring. (Consider the heat.) Once you're out, sellers surround you again until you get to your car.

A lot of these sights are now no drone zones, so they will take it and tag it and return on your way out. They will check your bags through an entrance checkpoint. If you wish to fly a drone, turn right as you exit Borobudur, take the roads that surround the place, check Google Maps, and behind the temple there's a paddy fields from where you can easily see and capture the temple, about 500 meters. 1481951230750
299 Maikel Chandika 2 Going back again after 10 years from my first visiting, but sadly, Since it is under renovation right now (June 2024), I would not recommend to bring toddler or kids, the management is force the customers to take a long way walking just to exit, going through traditional market. It is also not allowed to go up to the temple at all. 1719210456301
