Dengan tiket 30rb per orang dan ada tour guide yang mendampingi untuk strolling around sudut-sudut yang bisa dikunjungi di Pura Mangkunegaran. Banyak perpaduan arsitektur ala Jawa yang dipadukan dengan beberapa sudut arsitektur ala eropa. Banyak barang antik dan uga koleksi yang merupakan hasil hadiah ataupun saling tukar barang antara adipati Mangkunegaran generasi sebelumnya hingga saat ini dengan tokoh-tokoh penting dunia. Karena saya sampai di Mangkunegaran di jam setengah 3 sore, rasanya kurang puas gitu untuk menikmati suasana di Mangkunegaran. Mungkin lain kali bisa mampir kesini lagi agak lebih pagi karena suka banget suasananya, ga cuma di dalam Pura di halaman depan pun kayaknya seru untuk piknik bareng keluarga |

This was an absolutely wonderful experience! Probably one of the best tourist attraction in all of Indonesia (and I've been almost everywhere). Starting with the warm welcome from the youngz enthusiastic and English speaking staff, to the air conditioned waiting room and the bag you thoughtfully receive to carry your shoes, Pura Mangkunagaran made a very positive impression right from the very start. And, unlike most other Indonesians attractions, they do not rip-off foreign visitors, but instead charge a very fair same admission fee for everyone! Amazing.<br><br>The palace is very large - nearly 10 hectares - and the tour, while not overly extensive, gave a great insight into the lives of the prince and his ancestors. The guide was very nice and friendly and spoke fluent english. Everything is meticulous well maintained, very clean and quite interesting.<br><br>There is also a restaurant on site, which seems to be very well reviewed. I wanted to try it, but didn't have time.<br><br>Overall, I would absolutely highly recommend that all tourists come and visit this wonderful glimpse into the past (and present). I much prefered it to the Museum Keraton Surakarta, and I even liked it more than the Yogyakarta Royal Palace. This alone makes it worth the stopover in Solo. |

It was a very nice place to learn the Javanese history especially the current Islamic Mataram dynasties. To visit this palace, one should buy a ticket to go into this place with the proper tour guide staff, because it is still the main resident of The Duke of Mangkunegaran and one couldn't just wander around randomly without any guidance. The staff was very informative about the philosophical aspects of the buildings, the history of this palace, and the royal family itself as he described it quite comprehensibly. Shout out to Markus the tour guide staff, GBU. Truly recommend this place if you want to do "Wisata Keraton (Palace Visit)" in Solo. Be mindful with the visiting hours tho, it opens Monday to Sunday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Also, as it is still a culturally important place, there is a clear and firm proper rules on your clothing. |

Pura Mangkunegaran is an amazing place to visit. However, during a long weekend, it can be a nightmare to queue. We waited approximately 30 minutes just to have our names called, pay for the tickets, and enter the palace.<br>Luckily, we had an amazing tour guide named Pak Agung, whom I highly recommend! Thanks to him, our tour was far from boring, and we thoroughly enjoyed our 1.5-hour visit to this spectacular place.<br>I hope to watch a traditional dance performance here in the future—that would be a truly wonderful experience! |

Having visited Kraton Surakarta the previous day which was expensive, no english guide, in need of renovation and just general cleanliness, we didnt have much expectation with Pura. But we have been singing praises afterwards. The welcome team consisted of young apprentices in local dress, looking beautiful and professional. The tickets for local and foreigners are the same price!! Very rare for Indonesia tourist spot. Then we were given a very nice lady/ibu who speaks excellent English, very funny, given excellent informations and took a lot of pictures for us. The inside of the palace is very clean, well maintained, all the staff are very helpful polite and friendly, the Pracima cafe inside was excellent, Tiramisu was made on the table side, coffee was delicious. Even the security guard on the exit gate was friendly & helpful. The whole visit was lovely and memorable. Run very professionally with International standard you find at Castles & Palaces in Europe. This is a prime example of Indonesian and Javanese hospitality and a good ambassador of city of Solo! And we were pretty sure, the young king Gusti Bhre was sitting outside under the tree by the welcome entrance when we arrived. If he was, what a lovely down to earth royalty! Thank you! The entrance ticket to Puro Mangkunegaran is 30k and only non-cash payment is accepted. The price already includes a local guide (you may or may not give a tip). The tour takes around an hour, including walking around and taking photos.<br><br>There are a few dress rules: shorts are not allowed (you’ll be given a cloth to cover if you wear them), and velvet kebaya or parang-patterned batik are also not permitted.<br><br>It’s best to come early in the morning, around 9 to 10 AM it’s still quiet and perfect for photos and continue to eat breakfast in Pracimasana at 10 AM.<br><br>Every corner is beautiful! Inside, there are two restaurants, Pracimasana and Pracimaloka, both require reservations.<br><br>Some areas are restricted since they are still private parts of the royal residence. |

It's a very nice tourist destination. You are required to get a tourist guide, they will assign them to you before getting in. How much you pay the guide is up to you. The guides are very nice and professional, definitely a recommend. They guides really helps to understand and admire the whole place, culture, and history of it. Notes: you cannot wear short pants or skirt, if you do, they provide jarik (batik cloth) to cover them. We went there on weekday so it's not too crowded. It's better to just get the tickets on the spot. |

Pura Mangkunegaran is one of historical landmark in Surakarta. It was built in 1757. I studied in Surakarta and always wondering what is inside of it since few years ago. And now here is it, I was there.<br><br>The entrance fee is 30k IDR per person (exclude tip) and you'll get a tour guide who'll guide you explore the palace and explain the history.<br><br>The exploring started from Pendopo Ageng, this place still can be used to held the meeting or dance performance until right now (it's held on Wednesday and open for public). Then continue to inside of the palace include the dinning area and ex of woman school in front of Pracima Tuin (the restaurant).<br><br>After finished exploring mangkunegaran palace you can walk through Ngarsopuro road which is also located Triwindu Antique Market or just feeling the good ambience.<br><br>It was so fun and also an honour for me to explore the heritage of Surakarta. You can ask anything further to the guide who is really informative. Worth to try!! |
