Visiting Prambanan Temple at sunset was an absolute highlight! I highly recommend going around this time—not only do you avoid the heaviest crowds and the intense midday heat, but you also get the most stunning views and lighting of the temples as the sun goes down.<br>I loved how much freedom you have to just walk around and explore the massive park. The history is fascinating: the breathtaking main Prambanan complex is Hindu, but as you stroll through the park, you can also visit beautiful Buddhist temples (like Candi Sewu) right on the same grounds. It’s great to see both in one place. Also, they offer student discounts, which keeps the entrance fee very accessible (250000 IDR)!<br>Bonus tip: If you have the chance, go see the traditional Ramayana Ballet afterwards. It’s only a 20-minute walk from the temple. Since we visited during the dry season, the performance was held at the outdoor theater. Watching the traditional music and dance with the beautifully illuminated Prambanan temples in the background was truly magical. An unforgettable experience! |

I love Kukuh. He is literally the most charismatic, auraful and eloquent tour guide. He really made Prambanan a special experience and enriched our understanding of Hindu’s place in Java as well as some insightful anecdotes and jokes that landed like a dolphin 🐬 in water. He really made our experience and I wish him all the best. I wish Kukuh could come to Boston, where we could return the favor (a tall task) Anyways, this Candi was really picturesque and definitely get a tour guide… preferably Kukuh. |

Setiap ke jogja kayanya pasti ke candi prambanan, kalo kesana 5 orang worth it banget sewa mobil golf nya apalagi kalo siang dan terik, sewa mobil golf kapasitas 5-7 200rb per mobil, ada juga yang tayo per orang 25rb, cuma perlu jalan jauh dulu ke candi utama utk ketemu tayo, klo mobil golf abis cek karcis bisa langsung naik.<br>Drivernya jg bisa bantu fotoin kita dan bawa kita ke beberapa spot utk foto, krn udh pernah masuk ke candi utama makanya kami lebih memilih tour naik mobil golf 😁😁<br>Kesana di tgl 15 agustus high season rame bangettttt🤭 |

I am easily pleased with a visit to historical sites, just like this one. Perfect destination for a family exploration.<br>Bring water and wear something comfortable, because it's hot but at the same time this is a religious place. Expect many people come to visit, locals and foreigner, so keep your things safe, just in case.<br>If you want to explore by yourself, no problem. But there are guides available if you want to learn and to know more about Prambanan, explained in bahasa Indonesia and English, probably in another language too. You can book in advance. ✌🏻🫡<br>Best time to visit, right early after the opening hour or later around 3pm |
